The past few weeks, er months, have been all about getting ready for going to Brooklyn for the Renegade Craft Fair. I worked really hard and produced more than I ever have for any market. No Sleep till Brooklyn was my anthem and, um, even my ringtone!
We began the weekend by going to the Etsy meetup, but when we got there we discovered there had been a power outage in the building. We ran into Heather Toupin of HeatherJeany and her husband as well as Jesse Kuhn of RawToastDesign and we all walked to ReBar for a beer.
The other highlight of the evening was meeting up with our roomie for the weekend, Meghan McNeer! Thanks to it being a small world and some super generous peeps who let us all stay in their apartment (thanks Andrea & Jeanee, Tim and Alex), we were roommates with my photographer, Meghan, for the weekend.
We had a great time at the market. In addition to the amazing vendors, there was a super awesome marching band.

Here are some shots of the a bardis booth.
The weather was a bit crazy the whole weekend. Hot. *Windy*. Rainy. Tornado Watch.

I was proud of my products especially the new designs. Bright colors. New patterns.
The weekend was all about good crafts and seeing friends. It was super exciting to see Christine Haynes, Jenifer Solomon-Lake, the Berkleys, Sue Eggen, David Denosowicz & Maggie Doyle and many other wonderful crafters. I feel so lucky to know so many amazingly talented people. To round out that list and to end the weekend, we grabbed falafel on the way out of town with our new friend Jenna Robertson and our fantastic friend Cathy Pitters in the East Village.
I truly, truly love visiting New York … it’s always a *magical* adventure.
