Check out this great coloring book called Peer. Renee Garner of Wolfie and the Sneak organized this project. It contains CIY (that’s color it yourself) images from 25 artists. So it’s like you’re collaborating with them once you add the color!
I asked Renee what inspired her to do this project. She replied, “These are the ‘pieces’ that really make art worthwhile for me–the idea of connecting to others, being a human being as well as using the technological advances to my advantage. It’s so easy to be anonymous on the internet, and I think we all forget the humanity behind the faces of other people. . .combining all the pieces to the puzzle of what it means to be alive today.”
“Plus,” she continued, “there are so many artists who make incredible artwork, some of them more popular than others, and to recognize that we’re all peers, that we’re all in this together is also important, just as collaborating and reaching out to everyone, strangers included.”
