I feel so honored to have met or “met” so many amazingly talented crafters, artists and designers over the past six years from organizing the Indie Craft Experience, participating in craft markets in other cities and from being involved in the online craft community. During the last two days of 2010, I decided I need to show off these talented people. So I created a new blog called Created Treats and gave it the tagline: a curated portfolio of handcrafted delights. The blog features one handcrafted item per day.

To my delight, CRAFT posted a link to Created Treats on the blog’s 6th day of existence! A big thank you to Lish for posting about this new little endeavor of mine. Hundreds of people saw the blog within it’s first week who probably wouldn’t have seen it for a long, long while. The featured item of that day was screen-printed tea towels by the lovely Lane Huerta of lovelane designs located in Savannah. I met Lane in November when she was a vendor for the first time at ICE.

I hope you’ll enjoy Created Treats and that maybe it will bring you a moment of joy each day. I’ve enjoyed seeing my posts grow into a tiny portfolio of my favorite handcrafted items in just the first few days of 2011. I can’t wait to see what it looks like by the end of December!
